25-4.110

Customer Billing for Local Exchange Telecommunications Companies (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

Undocketed – The purpose of this proposed rule amendment is to prevent subscribers from paying for services which they do not receive. The rule amendment will ensure that subscribers who subscribe to local service with one provider, but switch to another provider before the billing cycle ends, will only be responsible for the services which the subscriber received. The rule will not apply to special contractual arrangements wherein the subscriber has agreed to obtain service from the company for a specific length of time. The rule will also not apply to services with term liabilities that are listed in the company’s tariffs.
