Student Performance Standards

PURPOSE:

The purpose and effect of this rule amendment is to adopt the 2007 Sunshine State Standards for Mathematics as authorized by Section 1001.03, Florida Statutes, to ensure adequate rigor, relevance, and student progression are maintained.

SUMMARY:

Section 1001.03, Florida Statutes, provides for the adoption of a set of student performance standards (Sunshine State Standards) and requires that the standards be reviewed periodically to ensure their continued rigor and relevance, among other things.
