RULE:

9B-3.0475

Mitigation Retrofits Required. (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

Identify and develop cost effective means to incorporate mitigation related elements in existing buildings that are subject to permitted work.

SUMMARY:

The rule adopts by reference a manual that provides prescriptive means to incorporate gable end bracing and enhanced roof to wall connections in existing buildings. The manual also specifies the circumstances in which shutters, enhanced roof to wall connections, and secondary water barriers are required as an element of permitted work as directed by the Legislature.
