40D-1.603

Permit Application Procedures

PURPOSE:

District rules specify the number of copies of each application form that must be submitted when application is made for a new water use permit or environmental resource permit or a modification of an issued permit. The District is currently expanding its capability to accept permit applications electronically. The purpose of the proposed rule amendment is to state that any requirement to submit multiple copies of an application shall not apply when the application package is received through the District's electronic permitting process. The effect will be to clarify that when application for a permit or permit modification is made electronically, only one copy is necessary.

SUBJECT:

Amend Rule 40D-1.603, F.A.C., to provide that any requirement to submit multiple copies of an application shall not apply when the complete application package is received electronically through the District's electronic permitting process.
