Overview



	The Department of Transportation, District One, and the Turnpike Enterprise announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, December 12, 2007, 9:30 a.m.

PLACE:	Central Florida Regional Planning Council Meeting, Bob Crawford Agricultural Center, 605 East Main Street, Bartow, Florida 33830 DATE AND TIME: Friday, December 14, 2007, 1:30 p.m. PLACE: Lee Metropolitan Planning Organization Meeting, Southwest Florida Regional Planning Council Office, 1926 Victoria Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33901

Subject:	The hearings will consist of presentations by the department on the FDOT Tentative Five Year Work Program for Fiscal Years 2008/2009 through 2012/2013, followed by a public testimony period. These public hearings are conducted pursuant to Section 339.135(4)(c), Florida Statutes, as amended. At each hearing, the public is invited to review the District One Tentative Five Year Work Program. Department staff will be available prior to and immediately following for information discussion and assistance. Court reporters will be available to accept public comments for entry into the public record. Written comments from all interested parties will be accepted by the department at the public hearing and within ten days after the hearing. Comments should be mailed to: Stanley M. Cann, P.E., District Secretary, Florida Department of Transportation, Post Office Box 1249, Bartow, Florida 33831. These hearings have been developed in accordance with the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and the Civil Rights Act of 1968. Under Title VI and Title VIII of the United State Civil Rights Act any person(s) or beneficiary who believes they have been subjected to discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability or familial status may file a written complaint to the Department of Transportation’s Equal Opportunity Office in Tallahassee or contact the District Title VI Coordinator in Bartow.
