Overview



	The The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Programs of the Department of Children and Family Service announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	December 13, 2007, 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

PLACE:	400 W. Robinson St., Conference Room C, South Tower (Hurston Building), Orlando, FL. Please contact John Bryant at (850)413-6779 if you need special assistance to attend this meeting.

Subject:	To accept public and stakeholder comments on the role and function of managing entities. Section 394.9082, F.S., defines a managing entity as “an entity that manages the delivery of behavioral health services.” Managing entities are viewed as a promising method of purchasing a comprehensive system of substance abuse treatment services within the Department’s circuits and regions. The stakeholder and public comment portion of the meeting will be preceded by a presentation outlining the Department’s rationale for contracting with managing entities and the role, functions, and activities expected to be performed by the managing entities.
