RULE:

33-603.201

Transfer of Inmates

PURPOSE:

The purpose and effect of the proposed rule is to delete unnecessary language from the rule concerning transport of inmates from one department facility to another.

SUMMARY:

Unnecessary language concerning file transfer, search of transport vehicles, separate transport, restraints utilized during transport, use of trailing vehicles, vehicle supervision during stops, utilization of armed officers and security of firearms during transport is being removed from the rule as this information constitutes internal management memoranda and is more appropriately placed in non-rule internal staff instructions.
