Overview



	The Department of Environmental Protection (Department) announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Wednesday, February 13, 2008. Informal question and answer session: 5 P.M to 6 P.M, Informational Meeting: 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.

PLACE:	Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center at 151 Civic Center Way, Royal Palm Beach, FL 33411.

Subject:	GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: The Department will be conducting an informal question and answer session and informational meeting on this date and during these timeframes. The Department’s representatives will be present to answer questions and provide information regarding the Department’s permitting processes and Florida Power & Light Company’s permit application for a proposed 1,250 Megawatt (MW) natural gas-fueled combined cycle unit at the West County Energy Center site located at 4000, 205th Street North in unincorporated Palm Beach County. The proposed project is in addition to the 2,500 MW facility already under construction. The project is subject to a number of Department permitting requirements including (but not limited to): preconstruction review for the Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD) of Air Quality pursuant to Rule 62-212.400, Florida Administrative Code; and certification under the Florida Electrical Power Plant Siting Act pursuant to Sections 403.501-403.518, F.S.
