Overview



	The public is invited to a meeting of the State Board of Education. announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	August 15, 2006, 8:30 a.m.

PLACE:	Miami Dade College, Miami, Florida

Subject:	The meeting agenda will consist of the approval of minutes of the meetings held June 20, 2006, and July 17, 2006, and updates on various reports and status of education initiatives by the Chairman and Commissioner. Among the items to be presented for the Board’s consideration are: Approval of the Implementation Plans for Dropout Prevention, Approval of Repeating F School Implementation Plans, Approval of the Implementation Plan for A++, and Approval of Reading and Language Arts Standards.
