Overview



	The State Advisory Committee for the Education of Exceptional Students announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, July 17, 2008, 8:30 a.m.--5:00 p.m., and Friday, July 18, 2008, 8:30 a.m.--1:30 p.m. On Wednesday, July 16, there will be an Orientation Session for new members from 2:00--4:00 p.m., and the Executive Committee will meet from 4:30--5:30 p.m. An opportunity for public comment will be provided during the business meeting at 12:00 noon on July 18.

PLACE:	Renaissance Vinoy Resort and Golf Club, 501 Fifth Avenue Northeast, St. Petersburg, Florida (telephone: 727.894.1000).

Subject:	Agenda topics include: Bureau Update, State Performance Plan, State Education Agency/Local Education Agency Determinations, the Florida Alternate Assessment (FAA), and Exceptional Student Education Rules.
