Overview



	The Miami-Dade Transit announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, August 21, 2008, Open House: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.; Formal Presentation: 6:00 p.m.

PLACE:	North-Dade Regional Library, 2455 N. W. 183rd Street, Miami, Florida 33056

Subject:	MDT has been conducting a Supplemental Environmental Assessment (EA) for proposed Post-Record of Decision (ROD) design modifications to the approved Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) (dated February 22, 2007) for Miami-Dade Transit’s North Corridor Metrorail Extension along N. W. 27th Avenue from N. W. 79th Street to N. W. 215th Street (at the Miami-Dade/Broward County Line), a distance of 9.2 miles. The purpose of this study is to document nine proposed design modifications which have been identified to reduce capital costs. This Hearing is being held to allow interested persons an opportunity to express their views concerning the location; conceptual design; and social, economic, and environmental effects of the proposed design modifications.
