PURPOSE:

The District is initiating rulemaking to adopt the Facilitating Agricultural Resource Management Systems (FARMS) Program, a cost share reimbursement program with the purpose of implementing agricultural best management practices that will result in water resource benefits. The effect of this rule would be reduced groundwater withdrawals and improvements to water quality, water resources and ecology.
