PURPOSE:

The purpose and effect of the proposed rule amendment is to implement statutory changes in Chapter 253, Florida Statutes, and establish forms of authorization for aquacultural activities on sovereignty submerged lands.

SUBJECT:

The proposed rule amendment provides for the administrative and management responsibilities of the Board of Trustees of the Internal Improvement Trust Fund and the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services regarding the use of sovereignty submerged lands for aquacultural purposes.
