St. Lucie River Basin TMDLs

The Department of Environmental Protection announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

To receive public comments on draft total maximum daily loads (TMDLs) for the St. Lucie Estuary, to be adopted in rule at 62-304.705, F.A.C.  The TMDLs to be presented at the public workshop are for the St. Lucie River Lower Estuary, the North Fork St. Lucie River, the North St. Lucie Estuary, the C-24 canal, the C-23 canal, the South St. Lucie Estuary, the South Fork St. Lucie River, Bessey Creek, and the C-44 Canal. The draft TMDL document(s) for the St. Lucie Estuary will be placed on the Department’s TMDL website (http://www.dep.state.fl.us/water/tmdl) by November 5, 2008.  The Department will accept written comments on the draft TMDLs through December 5, 2008. Written comments should be directed to: Jan Mandrup-Poulsen, Environmental Administrator, Watershed Evaluation and TMDL  Section, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, Mail Station 3555, 2600 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-2400, or via email at: jan.mandrup-poulsen@dep.state.fl.us.  This rule development has been given OGC case number 08-2290.
