Clean Diesel Rebate Program

PURPOSE:

The purpose and effect of the proposed new Rule 62-285.421, F.A.C., Clean Diesel Rebate Program, is to establish a process by which the department will distribute rebate funds, as available, to owners of qualifying heavy-duty diesel trucks who have purchased an auxiliary power unit in the year 2009 or later. A copy of the proposed form for applying for the rebate is available on the department’s website at http://www.dep.state.fl.us/Air/rules/ regulatory.htm.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule establishes a rebate funding process for idle-reduction equipment on heavy-duty diesel trucks.
