Overview



	The State Board of Education announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	September 19, 2006, 8:30 a.m.

PLACE:	325 West Gaines Street, Suite 1721/25, Tallahassee, Florida 32399

Subject:	: The meeting agenda will consist of the approval of minutes of the meeting held August 15, 2006, and updates on various reports and status of education initiatives by the Chairman and Commissioner including the compliance of the districts with repeating F schools with the school assistance requirements. Among the items to be presented for the Board’s consideration are: Approval of District Support Plans for D and F schools, Approval of 2007-08 K-20 Legislative Budget Request, Approval of the 2007-08 K-20 Capital Outlay Legislative Budget Request, Reappointment of Jane Cebelak to the Board of Directors, Florida Center for Nursing, Pensacola Junior College – Request Site Designation Approval for the South Santa Rosa County Special Purpose Center, and St. Petersburg College – Request Site Designation Approval for the Midtown Special Purpose Center.
