Overview



	The Office of Insurance Regulation announces a hearing to which all persons are invited.

DATE AND TIME:	Thursday, September 21, 2006, 1:00 p.m.

Subject:	Home Pointe Insurance Company has requested a 92.4% average statewide rate increase for its homeowners insurance and a 24.8% average statewide increase for its dwelling fire insurance. The requested rate increases are not uniform and some areas are subject to higher rate increases. Florida law allows the Office of Insurance Regulation to hold a public hearing for any purpose within the scope of the Insurance Code deemed to be necessary. Input from the insurers as well as interested parties will be received at this public hearing.
