6A-1.0421

Temporary Inability of Superintendent of Schools to Perform the Duties of Office (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

This rule provides for procedures and requirements that would govern in the event a superintendent of schools is mentally or physically incapacitated, or in the event of resignation or death. For elected superintendents, the Florida constitution and statutes governing public officers explain the procedures for when an officer is temporarily or permanently unable to perform the duties of office. For school districts that employ or appoint superintendents, such procedures are properly within the purview of the school boards to adopt.

SUMMARY:

This rule is to be repealed.
