59A-7.034

Alternate-Site Testing (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

The agency is proposing to amend the rule that establishes criteria for alternate-site testing within hospitals to consider advancements in clinical laboratory testing equipment and clarify the requirements regarding internal needs assessments and the responsibilities of the laboratory director.

SUBJECT:

Revisions are needed to address advancements in clinical laboratory testing equipment, who may perform clinical laboratory testing at alternate sites within hospitals, what is required to be submitted to the Agency for review and approval and timeframes for reviews.
