RULE:

59A-7.034

Alternate-Site Testing (Repealed)

PURPOSE:

The Agency is proposing to amend the rule that establishes criteria for alternate-site testing within hospitals to consider advancements in clinical laboratory testing equipment and clarify the requirements regarding internal needs assessments and the responsibilities of the laboratory director.

SUMMARY:

Revisions are needed to address advancements in clinical laboratory testing equipment, who may perform clinical laboratory testing at alternate-sites within hospitals, what is required to be submitted to the Agency for review and approval and timeframes for reviews.
