PURPOSE:

The purpose of the amendment to Rule 12D-16.002, F.A.C., is to add an information page to Forms DR-486 (Petition to the Value Adjustment Board – Request for Hearing) and DR-486PORT (Petition to the Value Adjustment Board – Transfer of Homestead Assessment Difference, Request for Hearing). The effect of this rule amendment will be that this information page will provide useful reference material to the taxpayer for the value adjustment board (VAB) hearing process.

SUBJECT:

The subject of this workshop is the inclusion of page three, “Information for the Taxpayer,” for the VAB proceedings to the petition forms. Rule text is on the Department’s website at http://www.floridarevenue.com/rules.
