PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rulemaking is to allow extension of all types of well construction permits up to 1 year, as is currently allowable for public supply well construction permits, and to remove outdated references to soil borings and foundation holes in the District’s well construction rules. The effect will be to reduce unnecessary regulatory burdens on well contractors and remove outdated rule language.
