Bag and Vessel Limits Applicable to Florida Waters; Restrictions on Possession of Prohibited Species; Transit Through Florida Waters

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rule development notice is to address possible rule amendments to add Carolina hammerhead to Florida’s list of prohibited shark species in response to the discovery and description of the species.  The effect of the rule amendments is to prohibit the harvest, possession, or harm of Carolina hammerhead or any part thereof in Florida state waters.

SUBJECT:

The subject area?to be addressed in the rule development notice is the list of prohibited shark species.
