RULE:

PURPOSE:

The proposed rulemaking creates Rule 5M-1.012, F.A.C., which establishes an option to enroll in agricultural Best Management Practices (BMPs) for parcels 25 acres or less which meet certain criteria. The proposed rulemaking also amends Rules 5M-1.001, 5M-1.004, and 5M-1.008, F.A.C., to ensure alignment with newly created Rule 5M-1.012, F.A.C., and amends the instructions to the Nutrient Application Record Form (FDACS-04005, rev. 06/24). This rule development will create a potential BMP enrollment option and process for lower impact operations that meet the statutory and rule criteria.

SUBJECT:

: The subject area of the proposed rule development is enrollment and implementation of water quality and water conservation BMPs for smaller, less intense agricultural operations.
