RULE:

5K-4.002

Adoption of Federal Regulations and Other Standards

PURPOSE:

The purpose and effect of this rule development is to adopt new regulations for seed sprouts and the manufacturing of human food.

SUBJECT:

The proposed rule will adopt by reference portions of 21 C.F.R., Section 112, "Standards for the Growing, Harvesting, Packing, and Holding of Produce for Human Consumption" pertaining to seed sprouts and adopt 21 C.F.R., Section 117 "Current Good Manufacturing Practice, Hazard Analysis, and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food" in its entirety.
