PURPOSE:

The proposed rulemaking will revise rule language to reflect recent revisions to sections 717.124(1)(b), F.S., 717.101(12), F.S., and 717.117, F.S., which, respectively, revise procedures related to the withdrawal of a claim by a claimant or claimant’s representative; revise the definition of “claimant representative;” and prescribe the duties, procedures, and requirements as it relates to due diligence and written notice.

SUBJECT:

This rulemaking will address definitions, claim filing procedures, and reporting instructions as it relates to unclaimed property.
