69L-31.008	Computation of Time

PURPOSE:

The proposed rulemaking for rules 69L-31.003 Petition for Resolution of Reimbursement Dispute Form and Requirements and 69L-31.004 Carrier Response to Petition for Resolution of Reimbursement Dispute Form and Requirements implements the statutory change made by chapter 174-2026, Laws of Florida, which extends the time period within which the Forms may be filed, by updating the Forms’ instructions. The proposed rulemaking for rule 69L-31.007 Service of Petition on Carrier and All Affected Parties implements the statutory change made by chapter 2026-174, Laws of Florida, which expands the method by which Health Care Providers can serve a Petition for Resolution of Reimbursement Dispute Form to include common carriers with verifiable tracking methods in addition to United States Postal Service certified mail. The proposed rulemaking for rule 69L-31.008 Computation of Time implements the statutory change made by chapter 2026-174, Laws of Florida, which extends the time within which Health Care Providers can file a Petition for Resolution of Reimbursement Dispute Form and Response Form.

SUBJECT:

The rulemaking will address procedures pertaining to the filing of worker’s compensation utilization and reimbursement disputes with the Department.
