RULE:

64E-6.009	Alternative Systems (Transferred)
64E-6.012	Standards for the Construction, Operation, and Maintenance of Aerobic Treatment Units (Transferred)

PURPOSE:

The proposed changes to Chapter 64E-6, Florida Administrative Code, incorporate necessary technical changes as well as modifications proposed through the Technical Review and Advisory Panel, and allow for implementation of systems meeting Department of Environmental Protection nitrogen-reduction goals.

SUMMARY:

The proposed changes to Chapter 64E-6, Florida Administrative Code, are based on proposals that have been reviewed and recommended for inclusion by the Technical Review and Advisory Panel and incorporate technical changes to the design of alternative systems and allow for the installation of nitrogen-reducing in-ground biofilters and nitrogen-reducing aerobic treatment unit technology.
