6A-10.0315

Demonstration of Readiness for College-Level Communication and Computation

PURPOSE:

Add the Digital SAT Suite of assessments and standard scores, which includes converting the two-digit PSAT/NMSQT/PSAT 10 and the SAT two-digit scores to their corresponding three-digit scores. Other technical changes will be made. As a result, Florida College System institutions will have updated scores that may be used to assess readiness for college-level work.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule will update scores on the SAT Suite of Assessments so that all standard scores in rule are current. Florida College System institutions may have to adjust their placement criteria for students who use these assessments to determine course placement in reading and writing, as the new three-digit score combines these two subjects.
