64B20-8.009

Thirty-Day Trial Period; Purchaser's Right to Cancel; Notice; Refund; Cancellation Fee

PURPOSE:

In consultation with the Board of Hearing Aid Specialists, in the event of cancellation within the 30-day trial period, the proposed language makes a change to the method of calculation of a hearing aid cancellation fee to make it consistent with rule 64B20-8.008, F.A.C., which requires that a cancellation fee not exceed 5% of the total purchase price of the prescription hearing aid(s).

SUMMARY:

In consultation with the Board of Hearing Aid Specialists, in the event of cancellation within the 30-day trial period, the proposed language makes a change to the method of calculation of a hearing aid cancellation fee to make it consistent with rule 64B20-8.008, F.A.C., which requires that a cancellation fee not exceed 5% of the total purchase price of the prescription hearing aid(s).
