PURPOSE:

As part of the continuing evaluation of the program required by the rule and in order to determine what specific provisions require modification, the Procurement Bureau has identified areas within the existing rule that necessitate an amendment.

SUMMARY:

This amendment will allow greater access for small businesses to participate in the District’s procurement and contracting activities. These areas include, but are not limited to: subcontracting requirements for proposals, compliance, and reciprocity of certification. Additionally, the proposed amendments will streamline business processes and make the program more effective.
