Minimum Flows

The Southwest Florida Water Management District announces a public meeting to which all persons are invited.

Subject:

Scientific Peer Review Panel Meeting and Field Trip for the proposed Minimum Flow for the Rainbow River System. The meeting will commence at Dunnellon City Hall and include panelist introductions and a Sunshine Law review, followed by a boat trip leaving from K.P. Hole Park.  The boat trip will be conducted to familiarize the panelists with the field sites in advance of performing the scientific peer review for the Minimum Flow proposed for the Rainbow River System.  The meeting will end at Dunnellon City Hall where the panelists will begin their scientific review of the proposed Minimum Flow.  Minutes of this meeting will be available no later than September 27, 2016.
NOTE: Attendees who wish to participate in the field trip portion of the meeting are strongly encouraged to notify Kym Rouse Holzwart at (352)796-7211 no later than September 13, 2016, to allow for better capacity planning. If the number of participants exceeds the reasonable boating seat capacity planned by the District, the field trip portion of the meeting will be canceled.
NOTE: One or more members of the District’s Governing Board may attend this meeting.
