Career and Technical Education and Adult General Education Standards and Industry-Driven Benchmarks

PURPOSE:

To adopt secondary pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs which shall satisfy high school graduation requirements (one credit in fine or performing arts, speech and debate, or practical arts or eight credits in electives) pursuant to s. 1003.4282 Florida Statutes which shall be listed under “Additional CTE Programs/Courses,” all of which fall under the umbrella of the “Career and Technical Education Programs, Academic Year 2018-2019.”

SUMMARY:

The Department is responsible for developing program standards and industry-driven benchmarks for career and technical education and adult general education programs.  This amendment is to adopt secondary pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programs which shall satisfy high school graduation requirements (one credit in fine or performing arts, speech and debate, or practical arts or eight credits in electives) pursuant to s. 1003.4282 Florida Statutes. These progams will be listed under “Additional CTE Programs/Courses,” all of which fall under the umbrella of the “Career and Technical Education Programs, Academic Year 2018-2019.”
