61G20-2.005

Alternative Plans Review and Inspection forms Adopted

PURPOSE:

Subsection 553.791(4), Florida Statutes, requires an individual utilizing a private provider to provide building code inspection services to notify the local building official on a form adopted by the Florida Building Commission. The Commission adopts this form (Form # 61G20-2.005-2002-01) via rule 61G20-2.005, F.A.C. Section 4, 2024-191 L.O.F. (HB 267 (2024)), made changes to the provisions pertaining to private providers, including allowing the fee owner’s contractor to furnish the form. The Commission intends to update Form # 61G20-2.005-2002-01 to reflect this change.

SUMMARY:

The proposed amendments will update Form # 61G20-2.005-2002-01 and make it consistent with the provisions of section 553.791, Florida Statutes.
