68A-23.009

Sale and Transportation of Freshwater Fish

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this rule amendment is to update species names for largemouth bass and Florida Bass due to recent taxonomic changes as well as reorganize rule language to better align intent for genetic conservation of Florida bass.

SUMMARY:

Staff are seeking to update rule language to reflect recent taxonomic changes that recognize the Florida bass as a distinct species from largemouth bass. Additionally, staff reorganized rule language to better align intent for genetic conservation of Florida bass.
