PURPOSE:

The proposed rule amendments update and clarify provisions within the Alligator Management Program to improve regulatory clarity, update outdated references, modernize administrative and reporting provisions, ensure internal consistency among rules governing alligator management activities, and support effective implementation of those rules.

SUBJECT:

The amendments address alligator farming operational requirements, public waters alligator egg collection and distribution, authorized methods of take, harvest compliance and reporting requirements, and related administrative and procedural provisions within the Alligator Management Program.
