68A-25.052

Regulations Governing the Processing of Alligators and Sale of Alligator Meat, Carcasses, and Parts

PURPOSE:

The proposed rule amendments reduce administrative burdens by updating and clarifying administrative compliance provisions for licensed alligator processors.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule amendments are part of a coordinated programmatic update to modernize administrative and harvest reporting provisions within the Alligator Management Program. Proposed changes include updating outdated rule references and harvest reporting procedures for hunters and licensed processors through the Commission’s online system, while addressing online connectivity concerns. Collectively, these amendments maintain consistency among rules governing alligator management and support effective program implementation without changing the fundamental structure or intent of existing Alligator Management Program.
