68A-9.008

Permits for Physically Disabled

PURPOSE:

The purpose of the proposed rule change is to clarify a complete single-leg amputation as above the knee for persons seeking permits for the mobility impaired, provide in rule how a mobility-impaired identification card is obtained and incorporate grammatical corrections and language standardization or clarification. The effect of the proposed rule is to clarify outdated rule language and provide a clear definition of complete single leg amputation.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule changes will clarify that complete single-leg amputations must be above the knee for those persons seeking permits for the mobility-impaired. The proposed change includes non-substantive technical changes such as grammatical corrections, language standardization or clarification of an existing rule.
