RULE:

68A-25.002

General Provisions for Taking, Possession and Sale of Reptiles

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this proposed revised rule is to protect native Florida freshwater turtle populations from over exploitation. Outdated references to other rules were updated.

SUMMARY:

The Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission proposes limiting harvest of freshwater turtles to five per person per day to protect these species from over exploitation.
