Rules of Prohibited Conduct and Penalties for Infractions

PURPOSE:

The purpose and effect of the proposed rule is to clarify the types of portable communication devices and components inmates are prohibited from possessing and to add tampering with computers and other office equipment as a ground for discipline.

SUMMARY:

The proposed Rule defines contraband to include components and peripherals of wireless communication devices, such as SIM cards, Bluetooth devices, batteries, and chargers. The proposed Rule also adds tampering with computers and other office equipment as a prohibited offense and ground for discipline.
