PURPOSE:

The purpose of the rule development is to update these sections of Chapter 40B-2, Florida Administrative Code, to modernize the existing rule language and incorporate a Water Use Permitting Guide by reference. In addition, Rule 40B-2.041, F.A.C., is amending the Minor Permit by Rule that regulates qualifying landscape irrigation uses in Rule 40B-2.041, F.A.C. The effect of the rule development will be to provide for a more efficient water use program by bringing the rule up to date. The effect will also set forth conservation measures for qualifying landscape irrigation uses and develop consistency with St. Johns and Southwest Florida water management districts.

SUBJECT:

This proposed rule development will modernize the existing rule language and incorporate a Water Use Permitting Guide by reference to provide for a more efficient water use program and provide for better conservation measures and consistency with St. Johns River and Southwest Florida water management districts.
