Forms for Charter School Applicants and Sponsors

PURPOSE:

The purpose of this new rule is to implement the Model Florida Charter School Application, Florida Charter School Application Evaluation Instrument, and the Florida Model Charter Contract Format, pursuant to Section 1002.33, F.S.. The effect will be a rule that is aligned with Florida Statutes.

SUMMARY:

The proposed rule will provide a model application that all potential charter school developers shall be required to use when submitting a charter school application to a sponsor, an evaluation instrument that sponsors shall be required to use when evaluating charter school applications, and a model charter school contract format that shall be used by sponsors and charter schools.
