Annual English Language Proficiency Assessment for English Language Learners (ELLs)

PURPOSE:

This rule amendment updates the cut scores for the Alternate ACCESS for ELLs assessment and informs state requirements for students exiting from the ESOL Program. This is necessary to ensure proficiency criteria for the Alternate ACCESS is updated and administered to students with the most significant cognitive disabilities and inform exit criteria from the ESOL Program.

SUMMARY:

Cut scores for Alternate ACCESS for ELLs are being updated.
