Guidance and Minimum Levels for Lakes

PURPOSE:

To amend Rule 40D-8.624, F.A.C., to establish minimum levels for one of the District’s listed priority waters, Lake Hancock, pursuant to Section 373.042, Florida Statutes.

SUBJECT:

Establishment of minimum levels for Lake Hancock in Polk County, Florida. A minimum level is the level of surface water at which further water withdrawals would be significantly harmful to the water resources of the area.
